Beatty ~ Willis was called away from this life on July 25, 2025. He was born on December 2, 1945, to Henry and Josephine Beatty in Trenton, New Jersey.
Willis attended Trenton Central High School; then joined the US Navy at age sixteen and dedicated his life to twenty years of service. During that time, he finished high school and received an associate of arts degree in business from Lacco, Italy. Willis served many duty stations. He retired from Naval Air Station (NAS) Cecil Field, Jacksonville, Florida in August 1982. After retirement he was employed at Northrop Grumman, NAS Jacksonville and the Aerospace center at Jacksonville International Airport.
In 1983, he met the love of his life Camilla White. They were together for forty-two years and raised three children ~ Kenneth, April and Avery. Willis became an active member of Emmanuel Church Of God In Christ of Jacksonville in 2005, under the leadership of Pastor Gabriel Hall. He became a Deacon of the church in 2015.
Willis was preceded in death by his mother and father; three sisters and two brothers. He leaves to celebrate his life, wife, Camilla; three children; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a host of nephews, nieces, close friends, and neighbors! He was surrounded by a Lot of Love and will Truly be Missed.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Willis Beatty, 11 AM Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Emmanuel Church of God In Christ of Jacksonville, 6326 Dunn Avenue. Visitation Friday from 5 – 7 PM at The Soutel Chapel. Interment in Jacksonville National Cemetery, Monday, August 4, 2025, at 1:30 PM. Because of the love of her family, arrangements entrusted to J.
