LATIMER ~  Willie Alfonzo Latimer was born October 30, 1957 in Jacksonville, Florida, to the late Rosezina P. Robinson and Willie Latimer.  Life with his siblings was filled with many life-long lessons and memories.  He departed us August 12, 2020.

Willie was educated in the public schools of Duval County, graduating from Stanton High school, class of 1975.  While attending school, he met Brenda Asbey Latimer.  They were married in Jacksonville, Florida and were together for many years.  They gave life to two daughters.

Willie attended Edward Waters College and pursued a degree in tailoring.  He worked as a tailor at the Fashion Men’s Shop and Code 19 Men’s Clothing Store in Jacksonville, Florida for many years.  Willie retired after nineteen years of service from American Red Cross in Atlanta, Georgia in 2012.

He was a member of Bethel Baptist Institutional Church and a dedicated son, brother, husband, and father.  Willie absolutely adored his wife, daughters, and grandchildren.  He loved all his siblings dearly and had a bond with each of them.  Family was most important to him.  He also enjoyed watching sports, action movies and westerns.
