Saddler ~ Wayne Bernard Saddler was born May 5, 1956, in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Roosevelt and Alberta Saddler. A lifelong resident, he attended schools in Duval County, graduating from Jean Ribault Senior High School, class of 1974.
Wayne was a member of St. Thomas Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Ernie L. Murray, Sr. He attended Florida Community College of Jacksonville and received certification as a seamster/tailor. Wayne proudly designed clothing and enjoyed the craft. In school, he was awarded as the best dressed student.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Wayne really wanted to attend college but never was able to pursue his dream. He loved drawing and sketching designs, using pencils and chalk, so much until he would frame and hang designs throughout the home. Wayne lived a simple life, not wanting much and was always kind.
Wayne transitioned from this life June 22, 2026. He is survived by his beloved sister, Felecia (Alan) Armstrong; nephews, Alan Armstrong, Shawn Campbell; nieces, Al’lecia Armstrong, Enjoli Saddler; a host of cousins and friends.
Celebration of Life service for Wayne Bernard Saddler will be 11:00AM Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at The Soutel Chapel. Visitation Tuesday from 5 – 6:00 PM at The Soutel Chapel.
