Mitchell ~ Valarie McCray Mitchell was born October 18, 1951, in Jacksonville, Florida to late Thomas Felton and Mary Hayman. She attended and graduated from William M. Raines High School.
A lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Florida, Valarie was employed in the health care industry as a certified nursing assistant for fifteen years. After retirement she became a devoted grandmother. Valarie was a devoted family woman and was loved by all who knew her.
Valarie leaves to cherish her memory, husband, Thomas Mitchell; daughters, Bridgette, Brittany; son, Frank; grandsons, Julian, Frank Jr, Darius, David, King; granddaughters, Dakota, Miracle, Kenndi; brothers, Gregory McCray, Thomas, David; sisters, Rosa, Lillian, Tracey, Lisa, Katina, Annette; sisters-in-law, Vanita, Bobbie; a host of loving nephews, nieces, cousins and friends, including long time special friend, Cindy Hicks. Valarie was loved and will be truly missed.
