Hardy ~ Tyrone Hardy passed away peacefully the morning of Saturday July 6, 2024, with the love of his family surrounding him. He was born in Lineville, Alabama to Ms. Katherine Burney and Mr. Ralph McLain. Tyrone served in the U.S. Navy for twenty years retiring as a Commander and relocated to Jacksonville, Florida. He then worked at KBR as a Corrosion Control Technician for nineteen years while pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice at Phoenix College where he received his bachelor’s degree.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Barbara Hardy; children, Antoinette King of Texas, Malik Hardy of Jacksonville, Florida, Ronada Onesha Kelley of Anniston, Alabama, Dominique Saffor, SharRhonda (Damon) Jones, Anthony Gibbons, Dementruis Turner, Sharray Turner all of Jacksonville, Florida; a host of amazing/adorable grandkids; loving brother, Gary Hardy of Landville, Alabama; sister, Princena (Frankie) Street of Anniston, Alabama; a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Tyrone will be welcomed home by his parents, Ms. Katherine and Mr. Ralph; siblings, Clara Ann Cray, James Hardy, and Rebecca Allen. Tyrone will truly be missed.
Celebration of Life service for Tyrone Hardy will be 11:00AM Saturday, July 13, 2024, at The Soutel Chapel. Visitation Friday from 5 – 7:00 PM at The Soutel Chapel. Interment 1:30 PM Monday, July 15, 2024, at Jacksonville National Cemetery. Because of the love of his family, arrangements entrusted to J. E.
