Tiara S. McDaniel

MCDANIEL ~ Tiara Shawanna “Sha-Sha” McDaniel was born July 10, 1987 to Lawanna McDaniel and Derrick L. Thomas, Sr. in Jacksonville, Florida. She transitioned from her earthy life into her eternal home November 16, 2020.

Tiara graduated from William M. Raines Senior High School class of 2005.  She later graduated from Paul Mitchell in 2013 with certification in Cosmetology and became the proud owner of Smacked Cosmetics.  Tiara was a dedicated employee of Citi Bank. 

She was formerly married to Teke Louis.  Tiara was a devoted mother of four beautiful children.  She was a beautiful soul with a big heart, beautiful smile and loved her family. Tiara was strong and determined to accomplish her dream.  She was a social butterfly; she enjoyed traveling, dancing and being a team mom.

Tiara is predeceased by her mother, Lawanna McDaniel.  She leaves to cherish her memory a devoted family, children, Tereton Washington, Jr., ShawnTi Braddy, Trinity Louis and Tishawni Braddy; fathers, Derrick L. Thomas, Sr. (Angel) & Henry D. Smith, Sr.; sisters, Whitney Taylor (Carlton), Shana Lloyd, Heaven McDaniel;  brothers, Elijah Owens, Henry Smith, Derrick L Thomas, Jr., Brian Ransom, Derrick L. Thomas III; grandmother,  Monzell Cohen; aunts, Felisha Wright, Tanya Knight, Doreszell Cohen, Latarsha L. Craig (Trevor) and Corinthia D. Thomas; godmothers, Carolyn Hunter & Shelby Baker; a host of cousins, nephews, nieces and devoted family & friends, including Keith Collins, Jr., Crystal Bell, Angelle Robinson, and Hadi McSwain.

Celebration of Life Service of Tiara Shawanna McDaniel Louis will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Philippian Community Church, 7578 New Kings Road, Virgil C. Jones, Jr., Pastor.  Family will receive friends Monday at The Soutel Church from 5 – 7 PM.  Interment at Evergreen Cemetery.  Because of the love of her family arrangements entrusted to J. E.
