WILSON ~ Sue Franses Porter was born May 6, 1940 to Henry Murray Porter and Mannora Porter in Oxford, Mississippi. She then moved to Jacksonville, Florida early in life where she continued her education as a home health nurse. Sue loved caring for those in need and made health care her career.
She married Kelsey Gillard and this union was bless with a son, Gill Gillard. Sue gave her life to the Lord and joined Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist Church. Sue continued to raise her son when later she met and married Earnest Wilson and this union was blessed with a daughter, Debra Wilson.
Sue was preceded in death by brothers, Robert Porter, Henry Earl Porter, Clarence Edward Huston, Charles Edwards Mosby; sisters, Mary Jean Porter-Gordon, Nora J. Mosby. She leaves to cherish her memory, children, Gill Gillard (Shantel Forrest) & Debra Wilson; grandchildren, Jade Gillard, J’acobi Mulliens, Dedreonna Mclendon, D’Mitrce “Guda” Spivey; brothers, James Thomas Mosby, George Edward Mosby, Willie E Porter, James Porter; sisters, Louise Scott, Teresa Williams, Laura Kimbrough, Julia Mosby-Couch, Dorothy Ruth; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Graveside Service for Mrs. Sue Porter Wilson will be 11:00 AM Friday, February 12, 2021, Edgewood Cemetery, 4519 North Edgewood Drive. Visitation Thursday from 5 – 7 PM at The Soutel Chapel.
