Silas Daniel

Daniel ~ Mr. Silas Daniel, Sr. departed this life on earth to be with the Lord October 14, 2024. He was born April 18, 1950, to Arthur & Pattie Lee Daniel. Silas was born in Georgia and moved to Jacksonville, Florida at a young age. He attended Matthew Gilbert Jr/Sr High school.

Living up to his father’s legacy, Silas became a very skilled and reliable Contractor that took pride in pleasing his customers with great work. A man of all trades, Silas left an impact on many lives! Husband, Father, Grandfather, Coach, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, Mentor, Friend, Teammate, he was truly a man for his people.

He leaves behind his devoted wife of 54 years, Drucilla Daniels; sons, Silas Daniels III (Denise), Maurice Daniels Sr; grandson, Maurice Daniels Jr. Silas had a strong family bond with his brothers and sisters, Willie Lee Daniels Sr (Cynthia), Earnestine Murray, Hattie Mae Daniels, Bettye Jean Mitchell (Greg), Willie Steve Daniels, Arthur Lee Daniels, Deborah Daniels; a host of beloved nephews, nieces, extended family, longtime friends and teammates that he truly loved and supported in every aspect of life.

Celebration of Life service for Silas Daniel will be 11:00AM Friday, October 25, 2024, at Mt. Herman Missionary Baptist Church.  Visitation Thursday from 5 – 7:00 PM at The Soutel Chapel.  Because of the love of his family, arrangements entrusted to J. E.
