Sheila J. Scott

Scott ~ Sheila J. Scott was born in Jacksonville, Florida on April 20, 1945, to Lamar & Mattie Jones.  She attended the local schools of Duval County, graduating from New Stanton Senior High School in 1963.  Sheila worked for Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Florida where she retired after working twenty or more years.  She then dedicated her life to the Early Childhood Education Program where she helped children develop skills that were essential for their future success until she retired in 2020.

Sheila was preceded in death by her daughter, Robin Jones; parents, Lamar & Mattie Jones; siblings, Carl Jones, Laura Lucas, Willie Harmon, and Maeona Patrick.  She transitioned March 8, 2025, and leaves to cherish her memory, son, Trenton Jones; grandchildren, Shantel Deariso, Patrick Deariso; great grandchildren, My’Angel, NyAysa, Na’Rhyah, Zoey, Phillip Jr, Robin; special nephews and nieces, Eric, Regina, Phyllis, Linda, Essie, Gloria, Carolyn, Edward, Anthony, Larry; other relatives and friends.

Memorial Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Sheila Scott, 2 PM Saturday, March 22, 2025, at The Soutel Chapel.  Because of the love of her family, arrangements entrusted to J. E. Fralin & Sons Funeral & Cremation Services, 5065 Soutel Dr, 904.924.9400.
