Sammie L. Everson

Everson ~ Sammie L. Everson was born March 10, 1945, to Emmaul Everson & Sadie M. Jones in Jacksonville, Florida.  He worked as a mason but was a man of many trades. 

Sammie enjoyed his grand kids and his family, reading the bible and talking on the phone with his sister. 

He made his heavenly transition on October 1, 2023.  Sammie was preceded in death by his wife, Wilhelminea; parents, Emmaul “Papa” and Sadie; siblings, Cora, Harry, Charles, Ethel, Leroy, Margret and Silva.  He leaves to cherish his precious memory, daughter, Monica Simmons; son, Willie Simmons; grandchildren, Melika, Christopher, Johnnetha, Trey, Willow, Zion, Jeremiah, Angel, Samahre’e, Cyree; great grandchildren, Tarvius Jr., Cayden, Tyjon, Teatum, Wynter, Nova; sisters, Carry (Dabby) Newsom, Mary (Isaac) Wells; a host of family and friends, including Reverend Carl Thomas.
