Regina Mikel

MIKEL ~ Regina Mikel was born April 3, 1962 to Betty Mikel.  She received her early education at St. Pius V Catholic School and later transferred to Duval County Public Schools for her junior and senior high school years.

On March 2, 2019, at Consulate Health Care Center of Orange Park, Regina Mikel quietly and peacefully, with a smile on her face, closed her eyes ad accepted the call of Christ and went home to God.

Regina will be missed especially by her mother, stepfather, family and friends.  To know her was to love her because of her pleasing personality to always meet and make friends; especially in her community where she loved to work and volunteer diligently with Pastor Mark Custer and Martha Paulk, with the “River City Church”, a mission of hope for feeding the homeless and needy people of Jacksonville, Florida.

Regina enjoyed hair braiding, crocheting, doing word search pictures and puzzles, watching her videos and listening to her music.  But through it all, she found time to always care, share, and make friends. 

Regina leaves to love and cherish her memory, her mother, Betty Mikel Crosby (Theodore); uncles, Willie Mikel, Jr. (Marva), Paul Mikel (Johnnie); aunts, Shirley Mikel-Meeks, Princie Mikel; cousins, Wanda Poe, Melissa Martain (Neal), Monica Mincey, Akilah Mikel, Dorothy Mikel, Claude Mikel, Jr. (Arnel), Garai Mikel (Izmira), Corey Mikel, Camille Mikel; nephews and nieces, Mello Martain, Marie Williams, Julius Poe, Darrington Harris, Claude Mikel III, Miles Mikel; special friends, Gloria Simmons, Isabelle Pierre, Freddie Webster, Bernice & Dwayne Jones, Millicent, Pastor Mark Custer, Martha Paulk; other extended family & friends.

Celebration of Life Service for Regina Mikel will be 12 Noon Saturday, March 9, 2019 at The Soutel Chapel, Pastor Anthony Webster, Officiating.  Family will receive friends one hour before the service.  Interment at Edgewood Cemetery.  Because of the love of her family arrangements entrusted to J.
