Caldwell ~ Mr. Raymond Augusta Caldwell was born September 26, 1963, to Augusta Caldwell and Paula Nell Tarver Riley Caldwell. He attended the Duval County Public Schools. Mr. Caldwell resided in Jacksonville for the majority of his life. He relocated to New York where he met and married Glenda Dixon. This union was blessed with a beautiful daughter, Sherrae. Mr. Caldwell returned to Jacksonville, where he resided until his demise on March 7, 2024.
He accepted Christ at an early age and had been a member of the Holy Temple Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith. Before his health declined, he was employed as a truck driver where he worked for many years. Mr. Caldwell enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an avid guitarist and loved fishing.
Mr. Caldwell was preceded in death by his mother, Paula Nell Tarver-Riley-Caldwell-Fossett-Seabrooks; brother, Ray Michael Fossett; sisters, Michelle Caldwell, Glenish Kitt. Mr. Caldwell leaves to cherish his loving memory, his devoted daughter, Sherrae Winborne; grandchildren, Julian Winborne, Jiselle Winborne; brother, Randolph Braxton Fossett; sister, Janice Cassandra Fossett; uncles, David Tarver (Marie), James Tarver, Thomas Tarver (Beneatha); aunts, Gwen Tarver Lee, Martha Tarver, Mary Manigault (David); goddaughter, Yasmeen Sanford; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and many sorrowing friends.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Raymond Augusta Caldwell, 11 AM Friday, March 15, 2024, at The Soutel Chapel. Visitation Friday from 10 – 11 AM at The Soutel Chapel.
