Randy A Lunceford

February 2, 1960 ~ August 28, 2020 (age 60)


LUNCEFORDRandy Aaron Lunceford was born February 2, 1960 in Philomath, Georgia, to Dock and Ida Moon.  He attended Lincoln High in Newark, New Jersey.

Randy serviced in the U S Navy for twenty years as an aircraft mechanic.  After retirement from the Navy, he was employed with St. Vincent’s Medical
Center nineteen years as a power plant operator.  For the past two years, he was employed with Memorial Hospital in the security office.

He enjoyed family time, bowling, watching sports – his favorite teams were the Raiders and the Miami Hurricanes.  Randy was a good man, a great husband, father and big brother.  He made people around him laugh; he was always joking around. 

Randy will be greatly missed by loving wife, Shirley Lunceford; sons, Brandon Lunceford & Brice Mack; grandson, Lennox Mack; siblings, Wayne Lunceford, Jerry Moon, Marvette Moon-Likier; nephews & nieces; brothers-in-law, Michael Likier, Roy Martin, James McNealy; sisters-in-law, Carine Moon, Sharon McNealy, Sharon Martin, Mary DeVaughn, Lukerchua Myrie; a host of cousins, extended family and friends.

Graveside service for Randy A. Lunceford will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Jacksonville National Cemetery.  Family will receive friends Tuesday at The Soutel Chapel from 5 – 7 PM.  Because of the love of his family, arrangements entrusted to J.
