LUNCEFORD ~ Randy Aaron Lunceford was born February 2, 1960 in Philomath, Georgia, to Dock and Ida Moon. He attended Lincoln High in Newark, New Jersey.
Randy serviced in the U S Navy for twenty years as an aircraft mechanic. After retirement from the Navy, he was employed with St. Vincent’s Medical
Center nineteen years as a power plant operator. For the past two years, he was employed with Memorial Hospital in the security office.
He enjoyed family time, bowling, watching sports – his favorite teams were the Raiders and the Miami Hurricanes. Randy was a good man, a great husband, father and big brother. He made people around him laugh; he was always joking around.
Randy will be greatly missed by loving wife, Shirley Lunceford; sons, Brandon Lunceford & Brice Mack; grandson, Lennox Mack; siblings, Wayne Lunceford, Jerry Moon, Marvette Moon-Likier; nephews & nieces; brothers-in-law, Michael Likier, Roy Martin, James McNealy; sisters-in-law, Carine Moon, Sharon McNealy, Sharon Martin, Mary DeVaughn, Lukerchua Myrie; a host of cousins, extended family and friends.
Graveside service for Randy A. Lunceford will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Jacksonville National Cemetery. Family will receive friends Tuesday at The Soutel Chapel from 5 – 7 PM.
