Patricia Dennis Obituary

Dennis ~ Patricia Ann Dennis was born April 2, 1952, in Los Angeles, California to Henry and Valorie Lofties.  She was the fourth eldest of eight children.  When Pat was three years old, her parents moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where Pat grew up.  She attended Edwards Elementary, John F Kennedy Junior High School, and Douglas High School.

Pat later married and had three children, Lakisha Deadwyler (Bert), Tabbo Gandy, and Louisa Stallworth (Randy).  She was also blessed with eight grandchildren, Bertram Deadwyler II, Jordan Deadwyler, Jalen Deadwyler, Tabbo Gandy Jr, Alexis Gandy, Derrick Gandy, Princess Gandy, Tahiry Lawrence; and three great grandchildren, Tahj Gandy, Cairo Smith, Alaya Gandy.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Ronald Lofties.  She is also survived by three sisters, Carol Point (Brown), Ella Smith, Deborah Henry (Jerome); three brothers, Charles Lofties, Michael Lofties (Sontonya), Timothy Lofties (Susie); a host of nieces and nephews.

Pat developed a love for cooking and was a great cook. Her younger sister could always depend on her for cooking tips, and if she was in trouble with a dish, she could tell her what to do to make it better.

Pat later worked at Hilton as an Events Planner and in harmony with her character did her best to make sure everything went well.  Anyone who knew Pat will remember her for her kindness, and self-sacrificing spirit.  She was willing to put herself out for others, especially her family and she deeply cared about her family and worked tirelessly to make sure they were always cared for even taking on the responsibility later in life to raise four grandchildren.  In imitating her parents, she was a hard worker, and had such a love in her heart that if she could help you in any way she would.

Pat was also known as the kind of mother and grandmother you could readily go to, and she would give you direction and guidance and often times there was going to be something about looking to God for help and not doing it on your own.  She loved reading her Bible, praying, and looking at Bible related articles on JW.ORG.  Pat was a person of integrity, honor, and loyalty and she had a sweet disposition.  She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
