Pastor Rebecca Catherine Collins

COLLINS ~ Pastor Rebecca Catherine Collins was born March 20, 1945 in Fernandina Beach, Florida to Rebecca Carrol and Daniel Clay.  She was called home by our Heavenly Father Thursday, February 13, 2020.  Pastor Collins was known by her family and friends as “Cat”

She attended Peak High School in Fernandina Beach, Florida and received a high school diploma from Morgan City, Bursand High School, Louisiana.  Pastor Collins was employed as a food manager at John Love Elementary School where she retired after thirty-five years of dedicated service.  She met and married Edward Collins, Sr., with whom she cherished and shared thirty-six years of unconditional love, commitment and dedication.

Pastor Collins received the Lord as her personal savior and served on many ministries at Floridale Faith Temple Holiness Church until her health began to decline.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Collins, Sr. and her parents, Rebecca Carrol and Daniel Clay.

She leaves to cherish her memory, loving children, Edward Collins, Jr., Michael Collins, Lisa Collins and Kimberly (Alex, Sr.) Rutledge; grandchildren, Travis, Maclisa, Terdi, Te’eris, Paul, Mike Mike, Danielle, Breon, La-La, Tyron, Travares, Sandreia and Daniel; twenty eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Brown and Lydia Davis;  nephews, Henry (Anna Marie) Dale, Allen (Tonya) Davis,  Gary and Charles; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Celebration of Life Service for Rebecca Catherine Collins 11:00 AM Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Floridale Faith Temple Holiness Church, 2808 Buckman Street Apostle Cathy Missick, Pastor.  Family will receive friends Friday at The Soutel Chapel from 5 – 7 PM.  Interment at Restlawn Memorial Park.  Because of the love of her family arrangements entrusted to J.
