Bracy ~ Cora Mae Gatson Bracy was born October 15, 1936, in Pitts, Georgia to the late Rufus and Cornelia Gatson. She attended the local schools in Georgia.
Cora Mae accepted Christ at the early age of twenty-two years. She was a member of Mt. Ararat Baptist Church. Later, Cora Mae was ordained into the ministry as an Evangelist. She served her community with good works; she was a prayer warrior. Cora Mae was then ordained Pastor of Heaven Fire Church of God.
She was a successful entrepreneur as a cosmetologist for many years – the owner of “The Hair Glaze Beauty Salon”. Cora Mae was willing to share her craft with others and was the stylist for many in the community.
Cora Mae transitioned from her earthly home to Heaven on November 5, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Bracy, Sr; son, Larry Bracy. Cora Mae leaves to cherish her memory loving and caring family, sons, Joe Andrew Bracy, William (Michelle) Bracy, Jr; daughters, Yancy Bracy, JoAnn Bracy; grandchildren, Adrian (Shakisha) Bracy, Darrius Daniels, Kenya Bracy, Lorri Bracy, Jolicia Bracy, Cassandra Jones, Pierson Bracy, Hope Bracy, Emontae Bracy, William Bracy VI, Shacondra Bracy; great grandchildren, Emmanuel, Armani, Jurnee, Jurmani, Emontae Jr, Ayden; a multitude of sorrowing relatives and friends.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Pastor Cora Mae Gatson Bracy, 11 AM Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Greater Moncrief Missionary Baptist Church, 1453 West 22nd Street. Visitation Friday from 5 – 7 PM at The Soutel Chapel. Interment in Restlawn South Memorial Park. Because of the love of her family, arrangements entrusted to J. E.
