TOOMER ~ Moses Toomer was born April 25, 1950 in Reeseville, South Carolina, to the late James and Deretha Toomer. He was preceded in the death by his brothers, Herman Toomer and Willie J. Toomer; sisters, Blondale Lloyd and Sandra Edwards.
Moses attended the Apostolic Church of God in Christ, The Commandment Keeping Church under the leadership of Elder Johnny Holmes. He chose to make God his everlasting savior and head of his life. Moses graduated from Columbia High School, in South Carolina. He later became a successful and well-known entrepreneur in the drywall industry. Moses was an evangelist and biblical teacher over forty years. He was a true man of God who showed unconditional love to everyone that crossed his path. Moses had a sense of humor like no other; he always had words of encouragement to give. He was an outstanding patriarch to his family. His heart’s posture was always towards God, which set him apart to love unconditionally. Moses would always say “It’s not about being right or wrong, it’s about obeying God…” He followed the will of God, and with this obedience and loving demeanor he captured the hearts of many.
For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved; Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope: Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance. Acts 2:25-28 KJV
