Pratt ~ Michael London Pratt, affectionately known as “My Bob the Builder,” was born June 29, 1966, to London Pratt and his beloved mother, Charlotte Pratt, who preceded him in death. Michael deeply loved the Lord and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Though he was a faithful attendee of Walk in the Word Ministry, he never had the chance to officially become a member.
Michael attended Raines High School but completed his education at Tomoka Correctional Facility, where he redirected his life’s path. He built a career in construction, where his passion for building things came to life. Outside of work, Michael had a love for boxing and dancing. He was trained and mentored by the legendary boxer George Foreman, earning him the nickname “Silver Back Nation” and the distinction of having his hands registered as legal weapons in the state of Florida. Michael was also a weightlifting enthusiast and a personal trainer, dedicating himself to helping others stay fit and strong.
He mentored countless individuals throughout Jacksonville, Florida, leaving a lasting impact on many through his infectious personality. His heart was as big as his laugh, always striving to bring joy and light to those around him.
On August 26, 2024, Michael transitioned to Glory after a courageous battle with cancer. True to his prayer, he prayed, he passed away peacefully in his own home, surrounded by family and friends, avoiding the fate he had feared of dying in the streets.
Michael is survived by his ten children: Fallon Anderson, Shattinette (Melvin) Beaufort, Chief Warrant Officer III Minika Baldwin, Bradon Pratt, Mikala Pratt, Christianna Pratt Jr., Jeremiah Burnett, Stormy Blue Pratt and Legendary Pratt.
