Hollman ~ Melvin “Dave” Hollman departed this life June 15, 2025. He was born June 5, 1944, in Damascus, Georgia to the late Samuel and Ethel Hollman.
Melvin was a loving father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He enjoyed watching westerns and WWE television shows. Melvin also enjoyed socializing with family and friends. He was a passionate yard and lawn landscaper. Melvin loved sitting on the porch with several good scratch tickets and a cold “RC” cola.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Richard, Sonny, Rufus, and Rosa Lee Hollman, and Dorsa Mae Morgan. Melvin was a loving person who leaves to cherish his memory, daughter, Carronda “Ronda Boo” (Antjuan, Sr) Thornton; son, Carrod James; grandchildren, Antjuan Jr, Caron, Cayden, Cason, Camir; step children, Chontal and Annette James; sisters, Mae Lois (Alfred), Louise (Willie), Carrie (James), Mary (Nickie), Lela (Grady), Nancy Jo (Nathaniel); a host of nephews, nieces and friends, including a very dear friend, Mr. Allen Tyree and family.
Celebration of Life service for Melvin Hollman will be 11:00AM Friday, June 27, 2025, at The Soutel Chapel. Visitation Thursday from 5 – 7:00 PM at The Soutel Chapel.
