Tinsley ~ On July 18, 1938, a light entered the world when Martha Willielee Tinsley was born to the late Charles Richardson and Margaret Bivins. She was a woman of deep faith, boundless love, and quiet strength — qualities that touched everyone blessed to know her.
Martha was a devout Christian whose life reflected the love of God in everything she did. Her home was always open, her table always full, and her heart always willing. Whether it was her children, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren, she welcomed each one with warmth, love, and a heart that never wavered.
Beyond her family, she touched countless lives in her community. She had a heart for helping others — opening her home, offering guidance, and showing compassion to anyone in need. Her warmth created a sense of belonging wherever she went, and her presence brought comfort to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; children, Sharon Richardson, Walter Tinsley Jr.; grandson, Gary Tinsley Jr.; siblings, Leonard Bryant, Charles Richardson, William McDonald, James Richardson, Christine Brown, and Alan Hicks. Martha leaves to cherish her memory, her loving children, Elaine Williams, Robin Richardson (Leon), Patrick Tinsley Sr., Alicia Tinsley (Anthony), Gary Tinsley Sr., Sarena Tinsley, and Chawntell Tinsley (Michael); children she loved as her own, Audrey McCray, Ervin Hilton, Danny Sellers; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family, and close friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
Though she has gone home to be with the Lord on October 20, 2025, her love and legacy will continue to live on — in every meal shared, every family gathering, and every act of kindness inspired by her beautiful spirit. Her work here is done, and she rests now in the arms of the Lord.
