Clark ~ Mr. Marcellous Lawrence Clark was born July 7, 1946, in Jacksonville, Florida to Elizabeth V. Clark. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and rededicated his life in 2009 after hearing a sermon on the “Prodigal Son” preached by Pastor Hodges.
Mr. Clark attended local schools and graduated from Stanton Vocational High School in 1964. He joined the United States Army in 1967 and served his country six years. After his honorable discharge from the Army, he joined the workforce. His employment history includes Maxwell House, The Clock Restaurant and Waffle House.
He loved jazz music and attending church functions like the “Holy Land Experience”.
Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Clark; brothers, Albert, Robert and Curtis Young; uncle and aunt, Bill and Edna Platt. He will leave memories to be cherished by his children, Dr. Marcella (Tyran) Laws, Yolanda (Tisa) Miller, Vincent (Erica) Miller; grandchildren, Alexis Baker, Jasmine McQueen, Danny Miller, Christopher Miller, Christian Laws, Caleb Laws and Cameron Laws; two beautiful great-grandsons; a host of nephews, nieces and friends.
Celebration of Life service for Marcellous Lawrence Clark will be 10:30AM Monday, November 29, 2021 at Central Baptist Institutional Church. Visitation Saturday from 3 – 5:00 PM at The Soutel Chapel.
