Lula Baldwin

Baldwin ~ Mrs. Lula Baldwin was born May 11, 1930 in McIntosh, Georgia to the late Caesar and Estelle Singleton.  She attended Liberty High School and moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 1949. 

Mrs. Baldwin was employed with the Duval County School System where she retired after thirty years of service.  She joined Macedonia Baptist Church and served on the Usher Ministry faithfully.

She was preceded in death by husband, Johnnie Baldwin; son, Arnette Singleton; daughter, Debbie Robinson Nelson; parents, Caesar & Estelle Singleton; brothers, Nathaniel (Rhonnie), Walter (Helen), Joseph, Eddie, Caesar, Jimmie (Annie Mae) Singleton; sister, Leatha Mae Singleton; uncle, John E. Singleton.  Mrs. Baldwin was a strong woman even until her death.  She was the pillar of her family.

Mrs. Baldwin leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Lauronia Taylor & Kathie Crump; grandsons, Wallace Taylor, Jr., Hannibal Crump, Sr., Christopher Nelson; great grandchildren, Jasmine Taylor, Hilton, Maurice, Marcus, Hannibal Jr, Aniyah; great-great grandchildren, Charzetta, Khaza, Haelynn; brothers, Ralph Singleton, Darnell Singleton (Janice), Al Singleton (Judy); sisters, Anna Moody & Geneva Riley; sisters-in-law, Martha Singleton & Juanita Singletonhonorable mention, Kenneth Baldwin, Sylvia Singleton Brown, Anthony Singleton, Nathaniel Singleton, Rick Nelson; many extended family and friends.

Graveside Service for Mrs. Lula Baldwin will be 10:00 AM Saturday, October 30, 2021, Restlawn Memorial Park, 2600 Ribault Scenic Drive.  Visitation Friday from 5 – 7 PM at The Soutel Chapel.  Because of the love of her family, arrangements entrusted to J. E. Fralin & Sons Funeral & Cremation Services, 5065 Soutel Dr, 904.924.9400.
