Linda E. Tisdale

Tisdale ~ Linda Elaine Young Tisdale was born May 3, 1949, to the union of William K. Young, Sr. and Louise Canty Young in Jacksonville, Florida.  On August 17, 2022, she reached out, taking the hand of her heavenly father and transitioned to eternal life.

Linda attended the local schools in Jacksonville, Florida.  She was a member of Shiloh Metropolitan Church. Linda retired from CSX Corporation where she was employed as a computer programmer; later, she was also a long-time employee of Unisource.

She was a loving and devoted mother of two children.  Linda was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Ford Bush; parents, William & Louise Young; brother, William K. Young, Jr.; sisters, Donetha Prelow, Velma Allen, Annie Young; stepmother, Eleanor Curry Young.  Linda’s memory will forever be cherished by son, Charles Ford, Jr. (Nakia); grandsons, Jason K. Ford, Charles Ford III, Joshua Ford; brothers, Charles Young (Greta), Keith Curry (Jackie); sisters, Patricia James (Vander), Sonja Alexander (Jeffery), Juanita Anthony (Arlanders), Donna Montgomery, Jawanda Waters; aunt, Annette Hill; a host of loving and devoted nephews, nieces, special cousins; friends, Mary Hall, Stephanie Hamm, Sarah Pittman; and devoted neighbor, Voncile “Laine” Christie.     

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Mrs. Linda Elaine Young Tisdale, 11 AM Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Mt. Herman Missionary Baptist Church, 5527 Redpoll Avenue; Pastor A. L. Jordan, Sr.  Visitation one hour prior to service.  Because of the love of her family, arrangements entrusted to J. E. Fralin & Sons Funeral & Cremation Services, 5065 Soutel Dr, 904.924.9400.
