Kelly ~ Linda Wilson Kelly, 67, was born January 24, 1958, to the parents of Percy Wilson (deceased) and Mattie B Romer (deceased) of Jacksonville, Florida. At a young age Linda moved to live with her aunt, Alberta McDaniels, in Flint, Michigan but later moved back to Jacksonville to be with her family. Linda graduated from Stanton Senior High School. She worked as a chef for most of her career. Linda retired from Walmart to spend more time with her husband.
She joined The New Life Church in the Lord Jesus Christ. Linda accepted Christ and was baptized in Jesus’ name. She later joined First Chronicles Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member.
Linda departed this life suddenly on July 8, 2025, with her loving husband by her side. She was preceded in death by her baby boy, Leroy Rogers Jr; sisters, Ernestine Woodard, Carol A Washington, Judy A Wison. Linda leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of over forty-five years, Daniel G. Kelly; sons, Gary Wilson (Caren), Detrick Wilson (Fiore); 16 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; brothers, Arthur L. Wilson (Carol), Bobby J Wilson, Percy Wilson Jr (Elnora), Anthoy Wilson (Beatrice), Gregory Wilson; sisters, Shirley M Johnson (Tyrone), Dianne Lewis, Patricia Smith, Florence Hughes (Mike), Latonya Greene (Terrance); four sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends
Linda was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her. We ask that you remember her not for the way her life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Linda Wilson Kelly, 10 AM Friday, July 18, 2025, at First Chronicles Baptist Church, 2259 West 30th Street. Visitation Thursday from 5 – 7 PM at The Church. Because of the love of her family, arrangements entrusted to J. E. Fralin & Sons Funeral & Cremation Services, 5065 Soutel Dr, 904.924.9400.
