Leroy Bobby Nelson, Jr

Nelson ~ Leroy Bobby Nelson, Jr. transitioned into eternal life August 6, 2021.  He was born July 9, 1949, in Camden, South Carolina to Leroy Bobby Nelson, Sr. and Lula Belle Nelson, both of whom preceded him in death. 

Leroy attended Jackson High School in Camden, South Carolina, class of 1968.  After graduation, Leroy enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served his country, earning a National Defense and Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Action and Rifle Marksman Medals and Good Conduct Medal, just to name a few.  After being honorably discharged from the military, Leroy worked in customer service at a security company.

He was a member of Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church. Leroy enjoyed watching military movies, building model aircrafts, and spending time with his family.

Leroy leaves to cherish his memory, devoted wife, Sharon Nelson; sons, Bobby Leroy Nelson, Darius Shae (Chenita) Adamson Sr, Darrell Danner; daughters, Jesula Yvette Colimon & Sharron Yvette Neal; grandchildren, Jakem Nelson, Tramell Nelson, Alayzia Nelson, Elijah Nelson, Candace Nelson, Eddie Bryant, Ja’Kai Bryant, Jalyn Danner, Darien Danner, Riley Adamson, Darius Adamson Jr; brothers, Stanley I. (Wanda) Nelson, Scott T. (Sarita Jean) Nelson; sister, Linda D. Nelson; nephews/nieces, Torry M. Nelson, Phillip J. Nelson, Michaela A. Nelson; cousins, Jerome (Connie) Deas, Debbie (Skip) Ross, Betty Jean Nelson Jiggetts, Donald Nelson, Josephine White, Lloyd White; Shirley White; mother-in-law, Dorothy Blake; sisters-in-law, Patricia Simmons & Barbara Hamilton; many extended family and friends.  

Celebration of Life service for Leroy Bobby Nelson, Jr. will be 1:30PM Friday, August 20, 2021 at Jacksonville National Cemetery.  Because of the love of his family, arrangements entrusted to J. E. Fralin & Sons Funeral & Cremation Services, 5065 Soutel Drive, 904-924-9400
