Larry Wallace Simmons

Simmons ~ Larry Wallace Simmons was born July 21, 1958 to James and Lossie Simmons, in Jacksonville, Florida.  He and his family moved to Trenton, New Jersey, where he graduated from Trenton Central High School class of 1976.  Larry performed several jobs in his lifetime; he worked mainly as a manager in the hotel business.

Larry was an avid reader and loved all types of books.  In his past time, he enjoyed collecting comic books and every type of gadget he found interesting.  He enjoyed listening to soul music and had quite the collection.  He also liked fishing with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Cleother Robinson, Ernest and Eddie Simmons.  He leaves to cherish his memory, sisters, Patricia Scott (Thaddeus), Virginia E. Simmons; uncle, Ernest Gilmore; nephews, Derrick Stokes, Alex Simmons, Fridelle Stokes, Clinton Barlow; nieces, Tamika, Shauna and Kendra Simmons; sister-in-law, Londa Simmons; a host of cousins and friends. He will truly be missed. Dora Mae Stewart known formally to most as “Mother Stewart”, was born June 12, 1946 as an Orlando, Florida native; a budding blessing to her predeceased parents, Willie Walker and Lillie Mae Walker.  Dora was a beloved individual who had a genuine love in her heart for people, a fervent zeal for God and a spirit of perseverance until the very end.  God saw it fit that her assignment on earth was fulfilled, she made her peaceful transition to her heavenly rest  February 3, 2022 from a life well lived, well loved, and as a “well done oh good and  faithful servant” as she would say.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Larry Wallace Simmons, 2 PM Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Cathedral of Faith Church, 2591 West Beaver Street.   Visitation Friday from 5 – 7 PM at The Soutel Chapel.  Because of the love of his family, arrangements entrusted to J.
