Larry Hunter, Sr

Hunter ~ Larry Joe Hunter was born November 22, 1950, to Jessie and Rutha Hunter in Jacksonville, Florida. He departed this life Saturday, December 4, 2022.

Larry graduated from William M. Raines High School. He worked as a mechanic at Toyota, which he loved. After twenty-five years of service, Larry retired from Toyota but did not give up his passion for cars. He continued working part time with cars and attending auctions. Larry also had a love of food and football, an FSU fan, and enjoyed videography. He is remembered as being good-hearted, generous, and genuinely cheerful. A great guy who will be missed.

He is survived by his sons, Eric Hunter and Larry K. Hunter; granddaughter, Faith Alisa Shevelle Wright; brother, Jessie Hunter Jr. (Maryn); plus a host of family including a nephew and two nieces and many friends. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Rutha; and brother, Johnnie Hunter.

Family and friends will gather for visitation Thursday, December 15, 2022, from 5 – 7 PM at The Soutel Chapel.  Because of the love of his family, arrangements entrusted to J. E. Fralin & Sons Funeral & Cremation Services, 5065 Soutel Dr, 904.924.9400.
