Kim Law Obituary

Law ~ Kim Yvonne Matthews Law, the second daughter of the late Modestine Golden, was born May 11, 1962, in Jacksonville, Florida. She received her education in the local public schools, graduating from Sandalwood High School in 1979.

Kim always had an enthusiasm for helping others, which led to various jobs helping people, including her last as a Social Service Specialist for the City of Jacksonville, where she was employed for nearly three decades. Kim was a life-long member of The Bethel Church under the pastorate of her uncle and cousin, Bishops Rudolph W. McKissick, Sr. and Jr. She served diligently on the Usher Ministry, over which she gave leadership.

Kim departed this life on February 8, 2022. She leaves to cherish her memory a devoted and loving husband, Clinton Law; a loving sister, Paula M. Robinson; brother, Michael Matthews; uncle and aunt, Bishop Rudolph W. McKissick, Sr. and Estelle; nieces, Tiffani N. Dailey (Torin), Ersula N. White, Santosha Scott (Chandler), Cierra Flowers; six grandnephews; a devoted and her only first cousin and wife, Bishop Rudolph W. McKissick, Jr. and Kimberly (Jocelyn, Janai and Joshua); a host of other cousins; a loving father and mother in law, Ozzie and Edith Hicks; stepson and stepdaughter, Nicholas Law and Andrea Law; five grandchildren; sisters in law, Violet Stovall (Bobby), Sharon Casper, Brenda Houston; brother in law, Charles Law (Dianne), and many other caring relatives and friends, including special friends like family, The Perry’s.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Mrs. Kim Yvonne Matthews Law, 11 AM Saturday, February 19, 2022, at The Bethel Church, 215 Bethel Baptist Street, Bishop Rudolph W. McKissick, Jr., Lead Pastor; Bishop Rudolph W. McKissick, Sr., Pastor Emeritus.  Visitation Friday from 5 – 7 PM at The Church.   Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.  Because of the love of her family, arrangements entrusted to J. E. Fralin & Sons Funeral & Cremation Services, 5065 Soutel Dr, 904.924.9400.
