Bibbs ~ Kenneth Lamont Bibbs, Sr. was born to the late John O. Bibbs, Sr. and Della M. Bibbs in Kansas City, Kansas, September 6, 1958, at Douglas Hospital of Kansas.
He was immersed in the Christian community that would be his lifelong support from an early age. Kenneth attended and graduated from Wyandotte High School of Kansas City, Kansas in 1976. Upon graduation, he joined the United States Navy, where he served twenty-five years of honorary, dedicated service as an Engineer and gained Surface Warfare and elevated to become a Senior Chief in the United States Navy, retiring in 2001. In 2001, he entered the civilian world and obtained an associate degree from Florida State Collage at Jacksonville in Engineering. Kenneth later became employed with Bank of America where he worked as an Engineer for twenty years.
He was blessed with a large and loving family. At the tender age of twenty-six, he met and fell in love with Gailia Wright. Shortly after, they wedded in Reno, Nevada and later moved to Oakland, California. Kenneth was a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He was a mastery at what he put his mind to, using his God given strengths and abilities to accomplish his goals. Kenneth was funny, witty and never met a stranger. Amongst his presence, you were guaranteed to feel comfort and joy! Outside of his professional uniforms, he exemplified confidence, class and style.
