Jones ~ Kazuko Jones was known as a very strong, funny, kind, and beautiful person. She returned to our heavenly father July 22, 2022, at 2:45 pm. Kazuko was born August 29, 1927, in Hiratsuka, Japan, to Mr. and Mrs. Sakugiro Furuoya, who both preceded her in death.
Educated in Yokohama Japan, as a young person she worked very hard to enhance her life. Having moved to the United States, she attended adult night school so she could learn English. Kazuko always said that life will always educate you if you’re willing to learn.
She loved her jewelry, sewing, and shopping. Kazuko was well known by her neighbors in her Newport community for spreading joy, and she was an extraordinary example by tending her garden and yard, even in her golden years. She set the example by being kind hearted and she showed this by giving to those in need.
Mrs. Jones is Survived by her husband, Matthews Jones, Jr; daughter, Sarah Winn; her son-in-law, Terry Winn; a host of relatives and many more cousins and friends across the United States and in Japan, that will greatly miss her.
Graveside Service for Mrs. Kazuko Jones will be 1:00 PM Thursday, July 28, 2021, Jacksonville National Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday from 5 – 7 PM at The Soutel Chapel.
