Fields ~ Mrs. Katie Lee Fields was born in Toledo, Georgia, August 23, 1939, to the late Thomas Jeffery and Estella Haywood. She departed this earthly life July 7, 2022, in the loving comfort and care of her children. Katie Lee was educated in the public schools of Georgia. She worked for Morrison's Cafeteria more than twenty-five years.
As a Christian with a sincere faith in God more than forty years, she was a member of the HOPE CHAPEL MINISTRIES, Pastor Michael L. Bolden. Katie Lee also had a great love for the late Dr. Jeannette C. Holmes-Vann, former Pastor Hope Chapel Ministries.
A mother’s love is alive forever ~ in the lessons she taught, the patience she gave, and in the hearts of the children she raised. Katie Lee was preceded in death by her loved and cherished daughter, Mozella Hamilton. She is survived by her devoted and loving children, Floria Mae (Willie) Doster, John D. Fields, Laura Ann (Keith) Jones, and Shawnee (Cleo) Sanders. The love mama had for us will never be replaced. Her caring nature and her warm spirit will live in us always. We will not forget the multitude of grandchildren that will carry on her legacy with much love. Surviving siblings include Eleanor Marie Brown, Evelyn Valdez, Mildred Powell, Cynthia Derry, Robert (Janet) Bolden, Gloria Potter, Willie James Nelson (Mary) Haywood, McArthur Nelson; son-in-law, Lonnie Hamilton; a host of nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

A Million Times
A million times, we will miss you, and a million times, we will cry. If love could have saved you, you never would have gone to be with the Lord. We loved you dearly in life; in death, we still love you. You hold a special place no one can ever fill in our hearts. It broke our hearts to lose our special mama, but you did not go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home. You will be genuinely missed by all the people you have touched.
