DALLAM ~ Katie Dalliam was born to the late Martha Buchanan Garrett and Chester Garrett, December 12,1931 in Jersey City, NJ. She Graduated A. Harry Moore H.S., and worked at Jersey City Medical Center as a Nurse's Aide. Katie Married Phillip L. Dallam March 1951.
Predeceased by Grandmother Lou Katie Buchanan, Uncle Luther Buchanan; Cousins, Luther "Dico" buchanan Jr. Raymond Buchanan, Cortel Buchanan, Robert Watson, Patricia Colonel, Freddie " Peterkin " White, and beloved Cousin and closest friend, Polly Ann Aiken
She moved to Jacksonville in 1987 and has been a longtime member of Morning Star Faith Temple, Pastor M.S.Killings.
Katie is survived by daughter, Joyce Dallam-Melton (Anthony); grandchildren, Ira Jamal Dallam (Shawny), Martha Dallam, Yolanda Partlow-Thornton (Anthony), LeJoya Partlow- Doughty (Sammy); eight grandchildren; a of loving family and friends.
Homegoing Celebration For Mrs. Katie Dallam will be 11AM Friday, May 25th, at the Soutel Chapel, Viewing Friday from 10AM until hour of service. Interment in Restlawn Memorial Park.
