Karon A. Mitchell

MITCHELL ~  Karon Mitchell made her entrance into the world November 5, 1964 to Jeremiah Mitchell, Jr. and the late Melvina P. Mitchell.  She was born in Presque, Maine.  Being a “military brat”, she spent her younger years in Sacramento, California; later moving to Fernandina Beach, Florida, where she called home.  

After graduating from Fernandina Beach High School in 1982, Karon started her journey doing what she did best – caring for others.  She dedicated ten years at The Care Center as a RLA manager.  Karon later devoted the rest of her life caring for her mother and two sisters; later caring for her father. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, children, Jessica Jamison, Zachary Jamison (Erica Clurkley), Latoya Clay; grandchildren, Jabbarion Mason, Kelis-Isabella Mason, Zachary Jamison, Jr., Keith Moore, Jr., Zion Jamison, Jenesis Ashley; her sweet father, Jeremiah Mitchell, Jr.; aunts, Joann Martin & Carolyn Cooper; nephews and nieces, Tayrell Jenkins, Takeya Roberts, Melvin Mitchell, Darius Pollard, Kristopher Perkins, Jackie Quarterman, Taniyah Martin, Santonio Martin, Jr., Darionah Pollard, Skylar Pollard; god sister, Sharon Brown; special friends, Cassandra Manning, Rose Baker, Linda Ross, Erica Clurkley; many loving relatives and friends, including class of 1982.  

Funeral Service for Ms. Karon Mitchell will be 11:00 AM Saturday, February 13, 2021, Greater Fernandina Beach Church of God, 305 South 4th Street, Fernandina Beach, Florida.  Visitation Friday from 5 – 7 PM at The Soutel Chapel. Interment at Whispering Pines Cemetery, Yulee, Florida.  Because of the love of her family, arrangements entrusted to J. E. Fralin & Sons Funeral & Cremation Services, 5065 Soutel Dr, 904.924.9400.
