Judson Baldwin, Jr. Obituary

BALDWIN ~ Judson’s life exemplified the fruit of the spirit, “But the fruit of the spirit is love,  joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance” Galatians 5:22-23.  Judson Baldwin, Jr., a successful entrepreneur, affectionately called “Jett”, transitioned into eternal life July 24, 2021, at his home.  He was born April 7, 1953 to Judson Baldwin, who preceded him in death, and Eddie Mae Thompson Baldwin in Monticello, Florida.  A loving, kind, humble, gracious husband, father, son, uncle, cousin and friend, who loved his Lord and Savior.

He attended the local schools in Miami and Tallahassee, Florida.  Judson was an interstate trucker, owner/operator for more than forty years.  His infectious spirit to love and laugh captured the hearts of many individuals across the country.  He enjoyed sports, especially football and basketball, watching action movies and westerns, watching an early morning sunrise and fast cars.  Judson could give directions to almost any place in the United States by highway name and landmark.  Also, once a clear description of an automobile/trucking problem was given, he could advise what repair was needed and whether one should undertake the task or take the vehicle in for professional repair.

Judson was a member of True Holiness Church under the leadership of Elder Louise Watson and later, Elder Evelyn Mosley.  He would give his last dime or the shirt off his back to someone in need (and you would never hear about it).

Judson was preceded in death by his father and grandparents, Will & Rodann Baldwin, Ed & Annie Thompson.  He was a man of grace, dignity and strength who will be missed by many.  Judson leaves to honor his memory, wife and love of his life for forty-two years,  Patricia Baldwin; his precious gift from the Lord and name sake, Judson Baldwin III; mother, Eddie Mae Mathews; siblings, Joyce (Edward) Rawls, Annie (Michael) Gaston, Wendell Baldwin, Velma Jean Baldwin, Michael Baldwin; aunt, Ella Baldwin; father-in-law, Willie Walker; brothers-in-law, C.
