Johnnie C. Jackson

Jackson ~ Mr. Johnnie C. “Butch” “JJ” Jackson departed this life October 23, 2024.  He was born April 15, 1934, to the late John Jackson and Fannie Jackson.  Johnnie retired from Atlantic Coast Asphalt and Mullers Asphalt.

Johnnie was a loving father, grandfather and uncle.  He was a passionate football fan of several teams.  Johnnie loved socializing with close friends, and most of all spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Jackson; mother, Fannie Jackson; sons, Timothy Lee Jackson and Godfrey Dean Jackson.  Johnnie leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Janet J. Jackson; sons, Anthony Bernard Jackson, Carrod James; daughters, Terrestine Jackson, Johnnie Denise Jackson, Chontal Annette James, Corronda Thronton (Antjuan); grands and great grands; a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.  Johnnie will truly be missed.

Celebration of Life service for Johnnie C. Jackson will be 11:00AM Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Mt. Mariah Missionary Baptist Church, 2036 Silver Street.  Visitation Friday from 5 – 7:00 PM at The Soutel Chapel.  Interment in Restlawn Memorial Park.  Because of the love of his family, arrangements entrusted to J.
