CATO ~ Jeno Cato was born February 2, 1947 to Helon Hammonds and Elizabeth Belcher Cato in Elmodel, Georgia. He attended the local schools in Georgia.
Jeno attended Deliverance Church of our Lord under the leadership of Bishop Reginald Chever. He enjoyed attending church, playing his guitar and harmonica. Although Jeno had no children, he enjoyed his nephews and niece.
Early in the quiet morning of May 14, 2021, God called Jeno home, and he slipped away. He is preceded in death by his parents, Helon Hammonds and Elizabeth Belcher Cato; brothers, Helon Jr and Bernard Cato. Jeno leaves to cherish his memory, sisters, Carolyn Cato, Ruth Harris, Sharon Hammonds, Ruby (Ed) Turner; brother, Herman Hammonds; nephews, Chris, Chad & Corey Cato; great niece, Christina Cato; a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends, including special friends, Aaron, Lil’ Gerald and Lil’ Chris.
Graveside Service for Jeno Cato will be 2:00 PM Saturday, May 22, 2020, at Restlawn (South) Memorial Park, 3301 Moncrief Road West, Bishop Reginald Chever, Officiating. Family will receive friends Friday at The Soutel Chapel from 5 - 7 PM. Because of the love of his family, arrangements entrusted to J. E.
