Williams ~ Janet Williams began her life January 14, 1934, to the loving parents, Litchfield and Mabel Grant in Jacksonville, Florida. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church. Janet received her education in the Florida Public Schools; she later received her Associate of Arts degree from Florida State Community College. In the seventies, she moved from Jacksonville to Daytona Beach, Florida and was employed with the State of Florida Division of Blind Services. While Janet was in Daytona, she joined Allen Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church and was a very active member.
Janet’s memory will be cherished by her sons, Ronald (Natalie) of Miami, Florida, Dawn (Veronica), Raymond and Wilbert Williams of Jacksonville, Florida; grandsons, Dawn Williams Jr., Shawn Williams of Jacksonville, Florida, Ronald Williams, Jr., Shawn Williams of Miami, Florida; granddaughters, Dawnetta Kirkland, Erika Williams of Jacksonville, Florida, Cashala and Jaunyce Williams of Miami, Florida; great grandchildren, Kyrah Heywood, Ellis Horne Jr., Leandra Kirkland, Kendall Williams, Nai’shawn Williams; special cousin, Ann Ross; sister-in-law, Gloria Grant; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Celebration of Life service for Mrs. Janet Williams will be 11:00AM Thursday, June 27, 2024 at The Soutel Chapel. Visitation Wednesday from 5 – 7:00 PM at The Soutel Chapel.
