Jacquelyn Bowens Odol

ODOL ~  Jacquelyn Bowens Odol was born April 5, 1931 in Jacksonville, Florida to Eddie Lee Bowens and Clementine Bowens Anderson.  She received her early education in the public schools of Duval County, graduating from Old Stanton High School class of 1949.  After attending business school, Jackie was employed with Duval County Public School System, assigned to Mary Bethune Elementary and as a clerk typist in the psychology department at the school board on Prudential Drive until retiring after thirty years of service. 

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents; son, Javan Odol.  She departed this life March 9, 2020 and leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Clarissa Odol Genwright and Cynthia O. Hopkins; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Retired Colonel Evont L. Bowens (Lois Walden Bowens); cousins and friends.

Memorial Service for Mrs. Jacquelyn Bowens Odol will be 1:00 PM Friday, March 13, 2020 at  Greater Grant Memorial African Methodist Episcopal Church, 5533 Gilcrest Road, Pastor Tan Moss.  Because of the love of her family arrangements entrusted to J.
