WALKER ~ On July 24, 2021, around 8:40a.m, GOD sent His Angel to bring His son, Hasten Walker Sr., home to bask in His glory and to join his loving parents; devoted wife Marguerite Walker; loving daughter Sheila Morrow; brothers Charlie Lewis Sr. and Joe Lewis Sr.; sisters Ruby Cooper and Callie Lewis; and close Family members Seneca Terrell, Alvin Terrell and Conrad Graham.
Hasten was born October 13, 1937, in Waynesboro, GA to the late Carswell Walker and Henrietta Fair Lewis. During his wonderful life, he worked as a dedicated Maintenance Supervisor at Maxwell House Coffee for over 30 years. Up until he had physical limitations, he was an active member of Joshua Christian Faith Center where he was ordained as a Deacon and served on the following Ministries: Baptism, Hospitality, Marriage, and Usher.
He leaves to cherish his memories 4 children - Bernice Gardner, Hasten Walker Jr., Alfred Walker Sr., and Allison (Clifford) Battles; 17 Grandchildren; 20 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great-Great Grandchildren; 4 siblings Virginia Lewis, Frankie Lewis, Phil Lewis and Phyllis Lewis; 2 loving aunts Dessie Logan and Louise Jones; a sister-in-law Catherine Graham; a loyal ex son-in-law Henry Gardner; and a host of uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Celebration of Life for Hasten Walker will be Graveside, 1:00 PM Friday, July 30, 2021, at Restlawn Memorial Park (South), 3301 Moncrief Road West. Family will receive friends Thursday from 5 – 7 PM at The Soutel Chapel. Because of the love of his family, arrangements entrusted to J. E.
