Riley ~ Gregory Dwayne Riley was born January 9, 1966, to the late Elijah and Shelley Jean Riley in Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida. He was a true believer in God and spent his life leading people to Christ. Gregory was bold and unapologetic as he went after souls for Jesus Christ. He had a passion for people and desired for them to live their best life in Jesus Christ. Gregory loved anyone that crossed his path and willing to give him two minutes to talk about his God. He enjoyed detailing cars and no car was ever the same once he encountered it, just like the souls he won for Christ.
Gregory attended the local schools of the city and graduated from Ribault Senior High School. He attended Greater Refuge Temple where his family had membership. Later, Gregory was called to Pastor at The Elect Apostolic Ministry and married his beautiful wife March 18, 1988 ~ this union was blessed with eight children.
His loving memory will be cherished by his wife, Jo Ann Riley; children, Fredrick Watson (Sheresh), Duane Lee (Tora), Tangela Smith (Sergio), Timothy Spearman, Gregory Riley, Elexis Riley, Jordan Vital, Brandon Vital; grandchildren, Kyla, Duane Jr, Trinity, Londyn, Princeton, Tavaris, Jefferey, E’Lora, De’Ontae, Armani, Jordan Jr, Kemirah, Brandon Jr, Julian; stepmother, Readis Riley (Elijah); siblings, Valerie Riley, Kenneth Riley (Gwendolyn), Reginald Riley (Frantrice,), Zerelda James (Willie), Lisa Harvey, Gary Riley, Terry Wheaton; a host of other relatives and friends.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Gregory Dwayne Riley, 11 AM Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at The Greater Refuge Temple, 1317 Rowe Avenue, Pastors Apostle Dr. Gentle Sr. & Bishop Kenneth Groover.
