Gregory Lionel Gaskin

GASKIN ~  Gregory Lionel Gaskin was born August 29, 1956, in Jacksonville, Florida, to George and Gloria Gaskin.  He was a graduate of Jean Ribault Senior High School, class of 1974.  After high school, Gregory joined the U S Army where he served as a food service specialist for five years.  He married Sherri Lester, who was his first and only love.

Gregory departed this earthly life, April 8, 2021.  He was preceded in death by sisters, Audrey and Patricia.  Gregory is survived by his son, Gregory Gaskin, Jr; daughter, Atlantis Gaskin; twelve grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brothers, George (Gwen) Gaskin, Edward Gaskin, Sr, Donald (Crystal) Gaskin; sisters, Leveen Richardson and Victoria Brooks; aunts, Elizabeth Dawson and Virlee Stewart; former wife, Sherri (Charles) Smith; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends who will cherish him in love and miss him dearly. 

Graveside service for George Lionel Gaskin will be Friday, April 23, 2021 at 1:30 PM at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road.  Family will receive friends Thursday at The Soutel Chapel from 5 - 6 PM.
