Jackson ~ Godfrey Dean Jackson was born September 6, 1952, to Johnnie C. & Tillie D. Jackson in Jacksonville, Florida. He attended & graduated from William M. Rains High School, class of 1969. During his younger years, he was a member of Mt. Calvary. Godfrey held many jobs, but he enjoyed driving trucks. He was married to Naomi Jackson (who preceded in him in death, 2001); this union was blessed with six children. Godfrey enjoyed hanging out with his family, traveling and cooking – especially crab pots.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Jackson; daughter, Sophia Paige; parents, Johnnie & Tillie Jackson. Godfrey is survived by children, Jarodd, Elliott & Tezlynn Paige, Godfrey Jr. & Courtney Jackson; grandchildren, Devin & Desiree Smith; stepmother, Jeanette Jackson; brother, Anthony Jackson; sisters, Terrestine Jackson Hall, Johnnie D. Jackson, Annette Jackson; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, classmates, and friends. Godfrey will truly be missed.
Celebration of Life service for Godfrey Dean Jackson will be 11:00 AM Friday, July 15, 2022 at The Soutel Chapel. Visitation Friday one hour before the service.
