HARRIS ~ Mr. George Harris III, also known as Chuck, ended his journey in life April 7, 2021. He was the son of the late George Jr. and Eunice Harris. Chuck was a 1978 graduate of William M. Raines Senior High School, where he was an active member of his class. He continued his career entering the army, where he was honorably discharged due to a health issue that was over-looked/Sickle Cell Anemia.
Chuck was fond of automobiles and kept employment with automotive companies such as Toyota and Ford. He was a free spirit; member of the family who made everyone laugh. We will all miss him, but he will continue to live on in all of us.
George Harris III was preceded in death by parents, George Jr. and Eunice Harris; paternal grandparents, George and Lillie Mae Harris; maternal grandparents, Jimmy and Maggie Barnes-Wilson; sisters, Lillian Harris and Theresa B. Williams; aunts, Eloise Johnson and Laura Pasco. He leaves to mourn in his passing, sister, Georgetta Edwards; brother, Bernard Life; aunt, Deborah (Carlton) Jones. Chuck was fond of nephews, Altavis Hogg & Richard Edwards Jr., (his personal barber); niece, Ateasha Edwards, whom he spoiled as if she was his own; a host of other nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends whom he cherished dearly ♥.
Graveside Service for George Harris will be Friday, April 23, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Restlawn Memorial Park, 3301 Moncrief Road. Because of the love of his friends, arrangements entrusted to J. E. Fralin & Sons Funeral & Cremation Services, 5065 Soutel Drive, 904.924.9400
