George F Evans

EVANS ~ George Fred Evans was born November 18, 1935 to Fred and Ethel Harrison in Tennille, Georgia.  His father passed away when George was three years of age, his mother remarried Clifford McBride who raised him into adulthood; loving wife, Alberta Darrisaw-Evans; sisters, Willie Mae Hodges and Rosa Maude McBride; all have preceded him in eternal rest.  He leaves to cherish his memory, children, Gregory Atkins, Sr. (Jesse) - Southern California and Cassandra Evans-Adams (Ozie) - Conyers Georgia; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; niece (like a daughter), Ernestine Green (Alonzo); other relatives & friends.

George spent his early adult days in Tennille, Georgia; then moved to Jacksonville, Florida.  He retired from the welding and shipping industry.  George loved to fish and play card games.

Memorial Service for George F. Evans will be 10 AM Friday, June 14, 2019 at The Soutel Chapel, 5065 Soutel Drive.  Because of the love of his family, arrangements entrusted to J. E. Fralin & Sons Funeral & Cremation Services, 5065 Soutel Drive, 904.924.9400
