Holloman-Ervin ~ With profound sorrow and loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Floyd Alexander Holloman-Ervin, who entered eternal rest March 27, 2026, at the age of 63, in Jacksonville, Florida.
Born on July 30, 1962, Floyd Alexander Holloman-Ervin lived a life defined by strength, generosity, and a spirit that brought light to those around him. He was deeply devoted to his family, grounded in compassion, and carried a presence that could brighten any room.
Floyd was a devoted husband to Erma Holloman-Ervin and a proud father to Kevin, Latoya, Alvin, Floyd Jr., Natasha, and Chris. He took great pride in his role as a provider, protector, and source of guidance, always standing as a steady foundation for his family.
Floyd had a passion for cooking, using it as a way to bring people together. His kitchen was often filled with laughter, conversation, and a sense of home. Many will fondly remember his signature phrase after preparing a meal: “You know the rules.”
He also enjoyed superheroes and wrestling, reflecting his energetic and fun-loving nature. Floyd had a way of making people feel welcome and valued, leaving a lasting impression wherever he went. He was always willing to lend a hand, offer encouragement, or simply be present when it mattered most. Floyd loved long walks and talking with his beloved sister, Angie and aunt, Gloria. His generosity and willingness to support others left a meaningful mark on everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Verna; brother, Calvin; grandmother, Roberta. Floyd leaves to honor and carry forward his memory his wife, Erma; children, Kevin, Latoya, Alvin, Floyd Jr., Natasha, and Chris; grandchildren, Cherelle, Jasmine, Destiny, Floyd III, Aniyla, America, Amari, Jule, Andrea, Areial, Alvin IV, and Taniya; great-grandchildren, Riley, Roman, Tyger, Bryan, Alexander and Koda; sister, Angelia; nieces and nephews, Tiffany, Deloris, Sheenika, TJ, Tamara, Arshay, and Taya; along with extended family and friends.
Though his presence will be deeply missed, his legacy will continue through the many lives he touched. He will always be remembered with love and gratitude.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Floyd Alexander Holloman Ervin, 1 PM Friday, April 3, 2026, at The Soutel Chapel. Visitation Thursday from 5 – 7 PM at The Soutel Chapel.
