Delgado ~ Ferdinand Delgado, 61, a resident of Jacksonville, Florida with a second home in St. Augustine, Florida, passed away peacefully July 8, 2022.
In his early childhood, Ferdinand along with his family was affiliated with Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. Later, he joined the U S Army and received an honorable discharge for his tour of duty. Ferdinand was employed with Tree of Life (later named KeHe) in shipping and receiving in St. Augustine over thirty-five years.
A loving husband, devoted father, uncle and cousin will be greatly missed by family and friends. Ferdinand, known to countless others as “Fred,” enjoyed family and life. He was predeceased by his father, William Delgado; sister, Lydia Delgado; mother-in-law, Sarah J. Gaither. Grieving his loss and cherishing his memory, wife of thirty-five years, Peggy Delgado; son, Ferdinand Delgado, Jr; mother, Mozell Sanks-Floyd; brothers, Tareyon (Ret SFC), Victor, Tony; a host of nephews, nieces, many other loving family and friends.
Celebration of Life service for Ferdinand Delgado will be 12:00 PM Thursday, July 14, 2022 at The Soutel Chapel. Visitation Wednesday from 5 – 7:00 PM at The Soutel Chapel.
