Brandon ~ Evangelist Sylvania Brandon was born on November 5, 1953, in Jacksonville, Florida, to the late Ralph Miller Sr. and Johnnie Mae Toliver. She grew up surrounded by strong family values and a deep faith that would define her life.
She graduated from Stanton College Preparatory School and later became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Sylvania met and married the love of her life, the late Elder Paul Elijah Brandon Sr., and together they raised five children.
From an early age, Sylvania answered God’s call to ministry, beginning her journey at The Holy Church of the Living God, Inc., where she was ordained an Evangelist and served as Youth President for many years. She remained a faithful member until the Lord called her home on September 19, 2026.
Sylvania was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elder Paul Elijah Brandon Sr.; her parents, Ralph Miller Sr. and Johnnie Mae Toliver; and her older brother, Ralph Miller Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory a devoted and loving family:
Children: Leeartis Miller (Lisa), Monique Brandon, Paul C. Brandon Jr., Bryant Brandon Sr. (Ty’juan), and Meagan Brandon.
Grandchildren: Le’lante Miller, Charity Brandon, Bryant Brandon Jr., Braxton Brandon, Bryuan Brandon, Tydrick Perkins, Tyanna Perkins, Donteria Wishop, and Donterious Wishop.
Siblings: Mary Crawford, Steve Toliver (Felicia), and Anna Smith.
Godchildren: Vernetta Mosley, Belinda Williams, Antoneik Evans, Sierra Andrews, and Christopher Lambert.
She also leaves a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, uncles, aunts, in-laws, her church family and many cherished friends.
