Brooks ~ Pauline Brooks, 90, transitioned peacefully to her heavenly home July 19, 2024. She was born August 12, 1933, in Oakfield, Georgia to the late Boise and Rushie Bell Stokes.
Pauline was a long-time member of Faust Temple Church of God in Christ. She held the title as an Evangelist and loved to minister at various churches in the city. Pauline served under the leadership of Bishop Gordon of Alpha & Omega Holiness Church Bringing Back the Gospel on Kings Road, Jacksonville, Florida. She also held a position as an assistant teacher in a day care; Pauline enjoyed the children, and the children loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Boise & Rushie Stokes; brothers, L. C. Stokes, Julius Stokes, John Stokes, Roosevelt Stokes, Jacob Stokes; sisters, Alice Young, Shirley Henry. Pauline leaves to mourn her passing, daughter, Evelyn Waters; grandson, Herbert Lee, Jr.; great granddaughter, Adiana Douglas; great-great-grandson, Rahkeem Douglas; sister, Lillie Pearl Wilson; special nieces, Theresa Stokes, Joyce Johnson; sister-in-law, Christine Brooks Bivins; many other nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
Celebration of Life service for Pauline Brooks will be 11:00AM Saturday, August 3, 2024, at The Soutel Chapel. Visitation Saturday from 10 - 11:00 AM at The Soutel Chapel.
