Paulk ~ Elnora Paulk, affectionately known as "Mother," was a devoted woman of faith, compassion, and strength. Born in Waycross, Georgia, she lived a remarkable life of service, love, and adventure. On June 11, 2026, Elnora peacefully entered eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
A faithful member of Emanuel Missionary Baptist Church, Elnora served on several boards, including the Usher Board. Her commitment to God and service to others was evident in everything she did.
Elnora dedicated forty years to Duval County Public Schools as a teacher, touching countless lives and shaping the future of many. She was also a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.
She loved to travel and experience the world - from Dollywood to the Eiffel Tower, from France and Spain to Hawaii and many places in between. Elnora never allowed grass to grow under her feet. If there was an event, activity, or celebration, she was there!
Elnora cared deeply for family, friends, and anyone in need. Together with her late mother, Sallie Mae Paulk, she raised her three grandsons - Raymond Paulk, Levar Ellis, and Larry Ellis - instilling in them values of faith, hard work, and love. She adored spending time with her great-grandchildren and was known for her warm smile, playful wink, her love for anything blue, and her favorite phrase "I love you more!" Elnora was easily pleased with a Junior's Fish Dinner and had a heart that left a loving impression on everyone she touched.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mr. Kelly; son, Napoleon Paulk; daughter, Paula Ellis; grandson, Trent Johnson; mother, Sallie Mae Paulk. She leaves to cherish her memory her grandchildren, Raymond Paulk (partner, Lynn Little), Larry Ellis (Michelle Ellis), Levar Ellis, Lacretia Pinkney; a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other relatives, and dear friends.
There are no words to express our loss. Elnora will be missed by all who knew her. The world was blessed to have Elnora Paulk for ninety-one fantastic years, and the history she bestowed will be kept in our hearts forever. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure.
