Elder Paul Elijah Brandon, Sr

Brandon ~ Paul Elijah Brandon, Sr., born on August 3rd, 1958, in Jacksonville, Florida, was the second eldest of five sons to Frank and Annie M. Brandon. He grew up with strong family values and a commitment to faith, which would define his life.

Paul was educated in the Duval County school system, graduating from Jean Ribault Senior High School and furthering his education at Edward Waters College. His diligent work ethic was proven in his years of service with Bellsouth and Simmons Mattress, where he was known for his loyalty and dedication.

Paul’s greatest joy in life was his family. He met and married the love of his life, Sylvania Brandon, and together they raised five children. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Paul was a trusted provider who embodied love, compassion, and steadfast faith. Though he was a man of few words, his pride and joy in his children and grandchildren were boundless and unmistakable.

From an early age, Paul answered God’s call to ministry, beginning his journey at Mt. Moriah, H.O.G.S.I.C. He dedicated his life to serving the Lord, holding prominent roles within the church, including Sunday School Board Superintendent and Associate Pastor at Miracle Deliverance Temple. His spiritual leadership touched countless lives and left a lasting impact on his church community.

Paul is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Annie M. Brandon. He is survived by a devoted and loving family, wife, Sylvania Brandon; children, Leeartis Maurice (Alisa), Monique, Paul Christopher, Bryant (Tijuan), Meagan; grandchildren, Lelante, Charity, Bryant, Braxton, Bryuan; father, Frank Brandon, Jr., special aunt/mother, Mary Viola Steward; brothers, Michael (Vanessa), Clifford, Steven, Thomas; godchildren, Vernitta, Belinda, Antoinette; a host of nieces, cousins, uncles, aunts, and cherished friends. Paul’s legacy of faith, family, and love will forever be remembered.

Celebration of Life service for Elder Paul Brandon, Sr. will be 11:00AM Friday, January 24, 2025, at True Holiness Church, 4022 Spring Grove Avenue.  Visitation Thursday from 5 – 7:00 PM at The Soutel Chapel.  Interment in Restlawn Memorial Park South.  Because of the love of his family, arrangements entrusted to J.
